Anderson Creek Golf Course 1997 PGA Championship winner Davis Love III recently unveiled Anderson Creek Golf Club, his first signature course in North Carolina, and winner of the “Best New Course in NC” award for 2001. The greens’ large roll-off areas and significant undulations offer a glimpse into the classic Donald Ross architecture seen throughout the Sandhills of North Carolina. Davis Love remarked, “Anderson Creek is one of the finest courses I’ve played, and is more than ready to host a major golfing event.” The club’s proximity to Interstate 95 as well as to the historic village of Pinehurst, make Anderson Creek a must play for golfers traveling to the area.

Whispering Woods Golf Club Over thirty years ago, Ellis Maples, inspired by a picturesque, rolling tract of land in the Pinehurst area, carved out another challenge for golfers in the Sandhills. His work, the Whispering Woods Golf Course, stands as a credit to him and a pleasure for many.
Dan Maples, son of Ellis and renowned golf course architect in his own right, described Whispering Woods this way: "It's a golf course designed with the average player in mind, but good players won't find it a pushover. The well-groomed condition of the course enhances the design and complements the roll of the land. Golfers experience left to right, short shots, long shots, uphill and downhill holes. And the quick bentgrass greens will keep you honest."

Woodlake Resort & Golf Club "Everywhere water is a thing of beauty...." Such was the vision when the 1,130 acre lake was created in 1971. Today the resort community of Woodlake covers 3,000 pristine wooded acres including this picturesque recreational water, the largest private, man-made lake in North Carolina. The natural beauty of Woodlake is mirrored in reflections upon the water that now covers the shallow basin where once meandered the estuaries of Cypress and Cranes Creeks. These fertile waterways encouraged a thriving habitat for wildlife and vegetation that continues to exist today. Truly, Woodlake offers a new dimension in golf, thirty-six holes - inspired by nature and the creative vision of man. The addition of carefully planned amenities combines a resort and residential community into a relaxed lifestyle - the way you dreamed it should be.
